Our Story
We are Shane and Loren Jordan, the new owners of Seaview Holiday Park.
We live east of Stratford in Taranaki and have three young children.
After many stops here in Mokau over the years, we decided we wanted to have a place here to spend time together at the beach. We love the rugged west coastline and the vibe here in Mokau. Seaview is right on the beach front and we love hearing the crashing of the waves and soaking in the picturesque sunsets while enjoying time with family and friends in a low key, relaxed setting. Seaview Holiday Park has become an exciting new project for us as a family.
Our vision for Seaview is to upgrade the existing facilities, amenities and renovate the buildings. After just 18 months we have fully renovated the two self-contained units and two of the cabins. We will continue to develop and upgrade the existing cabins and the commercial kitchen block and bathrooms. We've also put in a playground with swings and monkey bars for the kids to enjoy. We are thrilled with the positive feedback we've had so far and look forward to enhancing the holiday park even more!
Our new Managers Sam and Grace are excited to welcome existing and new campers to seaview and we are thrilled to have them on board settling into life on the beach!
Seaview Campgrounds
Seaview holiday park is located on the west coast between the Awakino and Mokau river mouths. Nestled amongst Pohutukawa trees and the ocean, it is a popular destination throughout the year and offers panoramic coastal views of mount Taranaki and sunsets.
Offering a variety of accommodation options from tent and caravan sites, cosy cabins to self-contained luxurious units. Seaview Holiday Park caters for everyone from couples travelling through, to families on vacation. Seaview Holiday Park is also dog friendly so fur babies can enjoy a holiday too (T&Cs apply).
The beach at Seaview Holiday Park stretches over 2.8km of black sand and offers great fishing opportunities, beach combing, whitebaiting (in season) swimming and surfing.
The village of Mokau is a special place where coast, river, sea and hill country are nearby. Located just 5mins south of Seaview Holiday Park, Mokau is known as the gateway to both Waikato and Tarananki.
The village offers Mokau Museum and Gallery, Memorial Hall, cafes, retail shop and hidden gems such as the old dairy factory on the river edge and the bamboo forest.
